Nurture Unique

A holistic support service to individuals and families with Autism and Learning Disabilities.

Recent COVID 19 evidence clearly demonstrates the additional risks to children and young people diagnosed with ASD and their family groups. Parental anxiety around job loss, lack of access to health care and treatment may cripple a caregiver's or parent's ability to cope with the pandemic.

This new project is aimed at delivering comprehensive, family-level improvements; to help all family members to mitigate confinement by enhancing the conditions of the home environment and levels of well-being.

We aim to provide tailored online and telephone support and group conferencing. Supporting up-to 5 families per day to a total of 150 families. Support will reach existing and new groups to safely socialise through a confidential and interactive space to reduce the impact of social isolation and maintain positive relationships.

Activities will be supplemented by a comprehensive suite of 150 lesson plans and online resources including multi-media and interactive workshops; (incorporating links to existing online

resources) and materials designed to specific learning.  We will facilitate Zoom conference training including cooking with families and develop a bespoke online training portal; supporting other social sector agencies that are seeking our support.

The project aim to offer over a thousand hours of support time provided to families to address crises intervention and management of complex support needs.
